Job Type: AFFORDABLE RDIING LESSONS & TRAINING! WITH EXP IN ENG, WESTERN, & ESPECIALLY GAMES
Posted: 05/08/2013 · Updated: 05/09/2013
Skills: Howdy!
I am offering lessons to master ground manners, trailer loading, basic riding technique, western and english pleasure, halter, jumping, and all games.
I have been working with kids and adults for the past 10 years through 4H and FFA and can take you through learning the process of proper horse-care, safe ground manners, and proper tacking technique.
My training style utilizes tricks drawn from English and Western disciplines to achieve a stimulating training method that benefits both rider and horse. Leg pressure, balance, and communication are all techniques that help achieve a positive and successful learning experience.
I offer lessons and training, and am available to come to you and your horse. I also have a facility with an outdoor arena for lessons. If you are looking for in-depth, long term training, I have a barn and pasture to board your horse comfortably at my barn during their training. I am open to off or on site training to work with your horse on specific trouble areas, behaviors, or disciplines. I would love to speak with you about your individual needs and adapt to you because each horse and rider are different. I have several references available. Please email me for more information and a little bit about what your looking for in a trainer and I can't wait to hear from you!
Experience: I am a life long horse owner and rider with almost 20 years under the saddle. Growing up with a former rodeo queen for a mother, I have always been enamored and involved with horses. I started riding English, eventually competing in jumping and dressage.
I bought my first horse trained as a Western trail horse. I learned how to ride Western and competed in Western Pleasure and, eventually started him under an English saddle and was very successful in both English Western Pleasure classes. As a young teen, I became involved in barrel racing, games, and rodeo. I have trained my own horses for competition. My passion was buying young OTTB's and training them to win in barrel racing and games events. My horses were competitive running 1D times and winning at State 4-H Champ show, jackpots, and earning a spot on the A-Team for Midwest Match Race- our team placed 2nd nationally and was the only rider to have all clean runs.
Education: I participated in High School Rodeo, MBRA, NBHA, UBRA [the list goes on], and trained with Jill Houck, local trainers and fellow competitors, and had the opportunity to attend clinics with nationally renowned barrel racing experts through my involvement in 4-H, FFA, and High School Rodeo.
