Desiree Greene (Twin Cities)

Job Type: outdoors horses any weather sun or shine good physical work

Posted: 10/14/2021 · Updated: 10/25/2021

Skills: some people tell me I am " mother nature" I tend to have a special gift with nature and animals especially my favorite animal horse. I definitely have a "green thumb" too. I could live outside if it were safe

Experience: The first job I got 15 years old and I worked at Diamond T Ranch. My job was strictly keeping people safe on trail rides in the front or back of the pack of horses, and it was very busy so my boss told me no more wasting time saddling horses you need to bring a horse to the coral and teach yourself bareback So I did and got bucked off in the process but stayed confident and learned from mistake and picked right up where I started. I had also my own horse for 6 years through special Olympics. I rode a horse named Billy and got bucked off him and broke 3 ribs and punctured a lung and again picked myself up and carried on At the time I am taking private horse lessons through The River Valley Riders. The owner is Cheryl Holt and told me she could be a good reference for me. I only have 2 lessons left until next season in spring 2022 and don't want to let horses leave my schedule and continue the never ending journey and someday have my own horse I also have skills I know how to bareback, English , and western riding I do not use bits when riding, only the harness

Education: I took an animal care class at the Rosemount Vo-Tech with live animals to use for our studies. And of coarse a horse. Proper care and the anatomy and breeds of horses

Skills: Hi Desiree Greene
I am very familiar with horse riding, and currently taking private lessons from Cheryl Holt director and coach of River Valley Riders my lessons are ending soon until next season in april I in the past worked with horses a lot I maintained a job for a trail leader either in the front or back of the horse pack at Diamond T Ranch. I have also been involved with special olympics equestrian team and participated in rodeos for about 6 years and rode my own horse Billy.

Experience: horses have always been a part of my life when I was a trail guide I was instructed to go to the coral and teach myself to ride bare back, I learned and taught myself after being bucked off in the process. and the rest of employment their I rode only bareback. I also consider this experience, but I got bucked off on Billy and broke 3 ribs and punctured a lung. Having no fear that I love them enough that shows confidence of a true rider At this time I know how to ride bareback english or western and the breed I am on now with river valley riders is a american standard bred known for being race horse I use no bits in my horses mouth and I do very well actualy better that way

Education: I took an animal care coarse at the Rosemount Vo Tech and we used live animals to educate us of proper care and anatomy and hands on experience about any kind of care for horses and a live horse was on-site that we used to learn with
